Spicy Rice

Gather your ingredients

Chop 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, 1 green chilli and 3-4 fresh garlic

Add diced onions in hot oil and sauté until golden

Add chopped garlic and sauté together for 2 minutes

Add chopped green chilli and sauté till soft

Add 1 tsp cayenne, 1 tsp p paprika, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Add chopped tomatoes and sauté together

Add 1.5 cups of washed, soaked rice

Add 2.5 cups of hot water

Once rice starts to bubble up

Cover with a cloth and put heat on low for 10 mins. After 10 mins turn heat off and leave for 5 mins

Open and stir rice thoroughly

Garnish with lemon and coriander
