Spicy Vodka Pasta Sauce
What you'll need
1 onion, diced
5 cloves garlic, smashed
1/2-1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 cup vodka
1 28 oz can whole peeled tomatoes
1/8-1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
In a large pot add the diced onion, smashed garlic, and the butter
Sauté until the onions are translucent then add the red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute
Add the vodka and sauté for 1 minute
Add the tomatoes and sir to combine. Cover and heat on medium low for about an hour
When it’s done there should be very little liquid in the pan. Let it cool slightly
Add the tomatoes to a blender and blend on high until smooth
Add the sauce back to the pan
Add the heavy cream. Toss with your favorite pasta!
