Step-by-step drawing-perspective
Fold paper into quarters to find the mid-point
1
Draw a horizon line. Using a ruler, draw a straight line from the mid-point to each corner. Stop at the horizon line.
2
Starting from the mid-point, swing out to the left and right drawing 2 lines for the railings about 1/4 inch apart at the edge of the paper.
3
Draw vertical lines about 1/2 inch apart from the center point to the edge connecting the ground to the railing.
4
Sketch 3 trees on each side. The tallest trees should be closest to the edges; the shortest, near the center.
5
Just above the horizon line, add some brush on each side of the center, slope down to center. Add leaves to tree branches.
6
Sketch in horizontal lines for planks
7
Use watercolors to add color to the picture.
8
Paint the wood planks-play with multiple shades of brown to add depth.
9
Use contrasting brown to paint the trees. Add more branches as you like!
10
Add final details to the boardwalk with colored pencil.
11
Final paint touches: add the sky.
12
Darken up those trees! All finished. Enjoy your drawing.
