Sticky & Spicy Baked Chicken Wings
Make marinade: mix together sesame oil, soy sauce, lime juice and grated garlic.
1
Toss wings with marinade and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hr or up to overnight. Remove from fridge to come to room temp while oven preheats
2
When ready to bake place wings on a lined baking sheet
3
And bake 20 -25 min
4
Make your sauce: add honey, chili paste/sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, lime juice & garlic in small sauce pan (I use gochujang or sriracha)
5
Whisk, bring to a boil then turn heat down to low and simmer 5 min until sauce has thickened a little (will thicken more as it cools)
6
Reserve 1/4 of the sauce and place in large bowl and set aside
7
Remove wings from oven halfway through initial baking time
8
Then flip and bake for the rest of the time
9
Once done the initial baking time remove them and brush with half of the remaining sauce then return to oven to bake another 5-10 min
10
Remove again and brush with remaining sauce and turn oven to broil and broil wings for 2-3 min until edges are deeply golden and sauce is bubbling
11
Once out the oven toss with reserved sauce
12
So sticky saucy and sooooo good! Serve with an optional sprinkling of sesame seeds and chopped green onions
