Stovetop Mac ‘N Cheese

Add salt to water in a large pot and bring to a boil.

Add pasta to boiling water and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.

Heat cast iron skillet for 5 minutes and add oil.

Add sausage to Quick Slice and slice.

Cook sausage in skillet for 4-5 minutes until it starts browning. Remove from skillet after cooked.

Grate cheddar cheese.

Grate Parmesan cheese.

Add part of Parmesan to panko bread crumbs and mix.

Add flour to oil in skillet and whisk. Cook until bubbly.

Slowly whisk in milk and cream.

Add cream cheese and Dijon mustard to milk mixture and whisk to combine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Slowly whisk in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until fully melted.

Mix in reserved pasta water to thin sauce and then add sausage back in.

Mix in pasta and frozen peas until completely combined.

Top pasta with Panko and Parmesan mixture. Broil until lightly browned.
