The A - Z of Ribbon Lettering (Part 1)
(a) Create thick upstrokes and downstrokes with a light coloured brushpen.

(b) Draw arrows to help indicate the upstrokes and downstrokes.

(c) Outline the downstrokes and colour in to create the front of the ribbon.
3
(d) Use the same light coloured brush pen to create shadows.
4
(e) Add shadows wherever the ribbon overlaps with each other or at the curving point.
5
(f) Experiment using different colour combinations for the upstrokes and the downstrokes.
6
(g) Practice individual letters before ribbon lettering words or short phrases.
7
(h) Remember to have fun with ribbon lettering too!😊
