The Best Almond Crunch Toffee Candy (GF)
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Add sugar and stir. Then, increase heat to medium.
Track temperature using a candy thermometer, and continue stirring as you heat the sugar and butter mixture to boiling. Don’t stop stirring!
You’ll gradually start to see the sugar mixture darken and become foamy.
Once the sugar mixture is up to temperature, add sliced almonds and stir thoroughly.
Add almond and sugar mixture to a prepared pan covered in aluminum foil. Then, smooth it out so that it is spread evenly in the pan.
Generously drizzle melted semi-sweet chocolate on top. Spread to distribute it evenly over the almond and sugar mixture.
Add chopped walnuts.
Let cool for several hours or overnight, remove it from the pan, and break it apart with a sharp knife. Then, enjoy! Delicious!
