Center the clay by coning up and down Cone up: press into the sides of the clay with your palms, working your way up from the bottom Cone down: apply even pressure to the top of the mound, pressing straight down. Repeat 3x until you have a nice even hill-shaped mound. Open your clay by pressing down into the center with your thumb(s) and push out from the center Once your opening is deep enough, start pulling up the walls Push in to the center and up from the outside while applying even pressure from the inside Check your measurements, we’re going for 3.75” x 3.75” Widen the base by pushing out from the inside then pull up the wall as usual, guiding with a rib Use the rib to get a nice smooth exterior and straighten the wall
