2 Tone Side Table
Gather wood. Here, I’m cutting these to make the table top.
1
I used wood glue and biscuits to join the boards together to make the top
2
These are the legs, with a routed slot for the bottom shelf
3
I used a router to round over all edges on the legs. I would not have done the short sides though
4
Everything is cut and ready to paint
5
I went for a white top with black legs and shelf
6
I used scrap wood to keep the pieces off the ground
7
So after the fact, I added a border around the top. Painted it black. Measure twice, cut once
8
This is how I got clamping pressure on the side because I didn’t have any clamps long enough
9
I glued the legs to the top. Using weights to act as clamps(don’t have any long enough)
10
Although glue was not strong enough so I toe screwed two screws into each leg
11
And it’s done. But it’s kinda wobbly, So...
12
I added some supports. They are cut at 45 degrees. And painted black to match
13
The underside won’t be seen and I was running out of paint. But the supports are in by 2 screws
14
Now we’re done and sturdy
