Visit Malibu’s Famous El Matador Beach
Today we’re in marvelous Malibu, California, visiting a spectacular local beach.
1
This is a very popular spot, so consider visiting on a gloomy day if you want to avoid some of the crowds.
2
The small parking lot located on the south side of PCH leads to wonderful clifftop overlooks and a tall beach staircase.
3
The massive sea stacks located at El Matador are a great place to watch for sea birds, dolphins and seals.
4
El Matador Beach is one of three connected beaches (along with La Piedra & El Pescador) that make up Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach.
5
The north end of the park offers some of the best sea caves and rock formation views.
6
A trip to El Matador makes for a perfect beach day. Come for a picnic, to fly a kite, or simply explore the tide pools during low tide.
7
From its stunning 100 foot sheer cliff-top views to its sea caves & massive sea stacks, this is a special beach...even by picky Malibu standards!
8
The largest (and most popular) sea stack here at El Matador can only be explored and walked through during low tide.
9
Restrooms and trash containers are located at the trailhead/parking area. Please pack out everything you bring in to help keep this place beautiful.
