Located in Pakistan’s biggest & beautiful coastal city, Mohatta Palace is a unique museum. Built in 1927, it was the summer home of Shivratan Mohatta.

The Palace was built in the tradition of stone palaces of Rajasthan, using pink Jodhpur stone in combination with the local yellow stone from gizri.

After Mohatta’s departure to India, the government of Pakistan acquired the building to house the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1947.

Fatima Jinnah, the sister of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, moved into the palace in 1964.

Entry fee costs Rs. (Rupees) 30 per adult. The Palace is also home to sprawling gardens, and hosts annual flower shows in March.
