After Mohatta’s departure to India, the government of Pakistan acquired the building to house the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1947.

Fatima Jinnah, the sister of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, moved into the palace in 1964.
4
Today, it houses different exhibitions, art displays and documentary screenings all year round.
5
Entry fee costs Rs. (Rupees) 30 per adult. The Palace is also home to sprawling gardens, and hosts annual flower shows in March.
