Visiting JFK’s TWA Hotel
To get to the hotel, you can drive and park your car for $20 or take the Air Train to Terminal 5 for $7.75.
The hotel was once the TWA terminal but stopped being used in January 2002. It opened in 1962 and was known for its futuristic style.
Take a walk around the terminal to see the many TWA uniforms worn by flight attendants. The colors & patterns are fun!
The memorabilia is a great reminder of how much the travel industry has changed over the past 60 years!
Be sure to stop at the Twister room for a fun photo opp or real game with your travel companions!
It’s no surprise that humans are craving new travel experiences and these vintage posters are an easy way to transport yourself!
There are two main hallways like this that lead guests to the hotel rooms. There’s about 500 rooms and you can book a room starting around $175.
Need to make a call? You’re covered! Try one of this vintage phones. I bet you haven’t seen one in a while!
Time to grab a cocktail at one of the bars in the main welcome area of the hotel. There’s currently a TAB exhibit going on to honor the soda.
Dinner is served at the Paris Cafe by Jeans-Georges. The food is basic but good & there’s fun 60s music playing around you. You can make resis online!
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick dinner or staying the night before a flight, there’s so much to do! On a sunny day, be sure to visit the pool!
