Visiting the Crown of the Statue Of Liberty
Hey! I’m Savanna from Swift-n-Savvy travel! Here was the crowning moment of my NYC trip!
Book your tickets online in advance $29 for crown. You will either depart from New Jersey or Manhattan. 📍Castle Clinton is where you depart from NYC.
Check in once you get there. You will have to wait in a long line to go through security then board. I’d recommend not taking much with you.
If departing from NYC you will be taken to the Statue of Liberty first then Ellis Island and back. It’s $26 just to visit the bottom of the statue.
Upon arrival you can walk around on the bottom, take photos of the skyline and visit the Museum which features the original flame for the statue.
This is the door you go through to go through a second security check to go up to the pedestal and the crown. This must be booked in advance.
You can access the Pedestal first. Reservations for pedestal should be made at least 1 month in advance. Crown access at least 2-3 months in advance
These were taken from the pedestal. After this you can go to the crown (with proper reservations). Crown access limited to 240 per day!
You must be able to climb stairs (no elevator) and it’s a tight space!
It’s 162 steps up! So worth it though!
Only a few people can be in the crown at a time since it’s small quarters! The ripples are Lady Liberty’s hair!
Enjoy these views from very small windows at the top! There is a park ranger up top that will answer any questions you have!
When you’re finished you will have more opportunities for great views and pictures!
You then board the boat to Ellis Island! There is so much explore and learn here!
They also have a hard hat tour you can book. When you are finished the boat will take you back to Manhattan!
