Walnut and Almond Pie Crust
What you'll need
2 Cups
Raw Walnuts
1 Cup
Raw Almonds
3 Tablespoons
4 Tablespoons
Butter Softened
4 Tablespoons
Butter Softened
Egg White
1/2 teaspoon
1/2- 1 teaspoon
Optional Spice
1/2 Cup
Almond Flour
Roast walnuts and almonds at 350* 4-6 minutes,until aromatic and golden,toss to brown all sides
Chop roasted nuts in food processor,pulse to get crumbs,too much will turn to nut butter !
Mix nuts,sugar,salt,almond flour in bowl. Add butter,egg white,combine mixture. Add (opt )spices.
Set oven 325* Press mixture into pie plate and crimp edges. Place in Freezer 15 minutes
Fork bottom.Use pie weights if you like. Par-Bake 14-16 minutes or fully Bake 17-20 minutes until aromatic and golden. Cool on rack.
Ready to fill!This is nice hearty crust You may want to foil over pie edges to avoid over browning while baking pie
