½ tablespoon of salt
1 1/2 Cup Water
Activate your watercolor palette.
1
Wash: apply a color evenly. This can be used for coloring large areas with even color.
2
Gradient: apply color then repeatedly add water while pulling the color further down.
3
Resist: use oil pastel then apply watercolor on top to see it seep into the paper around the design.
4
Salt: use kosher salt to sprinkle into a dark wash and create a crystalline effect.
5
Let Dry: watercolor is easily ruined if you move it too soon after painting. Let dry completely.
