Soak the dal for 30 minutes and drain the water

Add the dal and water to your IP.

Add turmeric powder

Add red chili powder

Add ginger garlic paste

Add onion and mix well.

Seal the lid and put pressure on for 20 minutes.

Vent the steam out and open the lid.

Add the tamarind concentrate paste

Now in a fry pan heat up oil on medium heat.

Pour the ingredients for the tampering/tarka.
