Wonton Soup - Homemade, Easy

Deep fry the wonton wrappers strips to make wonton chips. Set aside.

In a Dutch Oven or large soup pot add 2 quarts of water. Add wonton soup base.

2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Remove the chicken breasts & shred it. Put chicken breast back into the soup pot.

2 cups sliced mushrooms. Stir & simmer for 10 minutes. Add the purchased or 40 homemade wontons. Simmer until soft & the meat inside is cooked

Ladle soup into bowls w/ 4-5 wontons per bowl

Garnish w/ grated carrots + diced scallions tops & cilantro. Serve immediately.
