Select 2-4 colors, and layer in a small cup with 1-2 silicone drops in between.
1
(My pouring medium is 1 part water:1 part Floetrol: 2 parts paint)
2
Pour enough white pain to cover canvas. Use a torch to pop small air bubbles.
3
Flip cup onto canvas, swirl & lift rim to move paint in design you’d like...don’t over think it!
4
Tilt and rotate the canvas to let the paint expand and “open up”.
5
Let dry for 2-3 days. Use Gold Leaf Size (in a percision bottle) to draw random lines.
6
Let dry for 1 hr or until tacky but dry.
7
Add flakes or full sheets/sections of gold leafing over sizing lines.
8
Take a stiff bristle brush and gently remove excess gold leafing.
9
TIP! Peel paint from freezer paper and use in other projects. I like casting in resin (more soon!)
10
Enjoy your new abstract painting!
