Bacon, Date, & Arugula Pizza (GF)
Add about 1 tbsp avocado oil and 1 tbsp butter or ghee to pan and melt
Once butter melts add sliced yellow onion rings/pieces
Stir to coat and set heat to medium...
continue to cook/allow onions to soften...
Once onions are ready, add sliced dates and stir to coat...
Stir the onions and dates every minute or so as they continue to soften...
Add 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar to mixture and stir to combine.
Cook for a few minutes until caramelized, but not sticky. They’re ready when they look like this!
Get the rest of your pizza ingredients ready...
Add the mixture to the frozen pizza crust.
Then add pepitas...
And goat cheese crumbles...
And crispy bacon. Bake according to time specified for your pizza crust.
Remove from oven and top with arugula. Allow to wilt for a couple minutes, then serve + enjoy!
