Black Pepper Tofu And Broccoli
What you'll need

Raw Honey

Freshly Ground Pepper

Broccoli (cut into bite size pieces)

First, make our Baked Tofu recipe (recipe on the blog!). Can start next step while tofu is baking. Make some brown rice for a side as well (optional!)

While tofu bakes, make honey mixture: mix water, honey and 1 teaspoon salt until honey is dissolved. Set aside.

Mix together flour, spices and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a small bowl. Set aside.

Blanch the broccoli: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 2 teaspoons of salt.

Add broccoli to boiling salt water and cover. Cook for 2 minutes.

Strain broccoli and set aside.

Heat 1 T olive oil in a skillet until it shimmers. Add flour and spice mixture into skillet and let cook for 30 seconds, stirring throughout.

Add broccoli and stir to combine. Then add honey mixture and cover. Simmer for 2 minutes until broccoli is tender and sauce begins to thicken.

Remove from heat, and add 3 tablespoons rice vinegar.
