Broiled Asparagus with Parmesan Cheese Sauce
Prepare your ingredients before you begin.
Toast almond flour (or breadcrumbs) in butter for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest and parsley. Transfer to a bowl to cool.
Place the asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle on the olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place 5-6 inches under the broiler and turn on.
Broil for approximately 5 minutes, undisturbed but watching closely, or until crisp-tender.
Bring heavy cream to a simmer, then gradually mix in Parmesan cheese until creamy and smooth.
