Chicken and Hummus Cake | No-Bake Sandwich Cake
Looks like a cake, tastes like a sandwich! You can use any fillings, and make it any shape or size!
You will need: Sliced bread, crusts cut off, Butter, Sandwich fillings of choice, Mayo "frosting"
1
Sandwich filling no. 1: Roasted beetroot hummus with Kewpie black pepper sandwich spread.
Sandwich filling no. 2: Creamy chicken and onion filling with Kewpie mayonaise.
I made my savoury "frosting" by whipping equal parts kewpie mayonnaise and cream cheese together.
2
Line a cake pan with cling film.
3
Build the cake layers by laying the bread, buttering each layer, and spreading on the filling.
4
Keep going until you run out of bread or filling (your cake can be any size/shape that you like).
5
Cover and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
6
Turn the cake upside down onto a plate and demould it.
7
Use more of the mayo frosting to cover the top and sides of the cake.
8
Decorate as you like. I've added some beetroot, carrot, cucumbers, and mint.
9
Slice and serve it up!
