Christmas Loaf is a traditional Stollen or Yuletide Bread. Nut meats and candied fruits are its key components.
This recipe is six ingredients and yields two loaves. It’s all done in one bowl and is very easy to assemble.
Butter, sugar, and eggs are creamed until light and fluffy and very smooth. Then flour is added to create a batter.
Nuts and candied fruits are tossed in flour to keep them suspended throughout the bake.
The fruits and nuts are combined with the cake batter and divided equally between two loaf pans.
The loaves are baked until golden and fragrant. Then removed from the oven to cool.
Christmas Loaf is best enjoyed with a piping hot cup of tea or coffee, and eaten with softened sweet cream butter.
