Cranberry Orange Scones
Mix 2 cups flour, 3 tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup sugar, And 1/4 tsp salt in a large bowl.

Use a fork or pastry blender to cut in 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter into flour mixture.

In a small bowl,mix 1 egg, 1/2 c heavy cream, 1/4 c sour cream, 1 tsp vanilla and 1/4 orange extract

Whisk it allll up!

Use a spatula to pull the dry ingredients up into the wet. (this is called folding)

The dough will be a little craggy. Basically not smooth. That’s good here πŸ™ƒ

Turn it out onto a counter or board with about 1/4 cup flour.

Use your hands to shape it into a 10x6 rectangle.

Cut it in half lengthwise and then into 6 pieces. A knife, pizza cutter or bench scraper work well.

Transfer to a parchment covered baking sheet. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400

Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes until lightly browned.

Cool before glazing. To make glaze combine 2/3 cup powdered sugar with 1-2 Tbsp orange juice.
