Add oil, cumin seeds, cinnamon and cloves to the instant pot. Sauté for 30 sec
Add ginger, chopped garlic and green chilies
Sauté for 30 seconds
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent
Add chopped tomatoes and sauté well.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala.
Add salt and continue to sauté
Add rinsed & drained broken wheat and masoor dal
Add water and stir well
Mix well and close the lid
Press “pressure cook” for 5 minutes
After khichdi is cooked add chopped cilantro
Squeeze 1 tsp lemon juice
