DIY A Mini Banner For Valentine’s Day Cards & Decor
Set aside a piece of colorful paper, or paint one yourself!
1
Sketch to determine the size and shape of your flags.
2
Cut out your favorite flag shape to use as a template.
3
Decide what phrase you’ll use and count how many flag you’ll need.
4
Fold over your colorful paper (same length as your flag shape) and crease the fold.
5
Trace the number of flags you need, one flag per letter. Top of flag should line up with the fold.
6
Using a Micron, or another permanent pen, draw your phrase in fun letters.
8
Fill in your letters using a thicker marker. I’m using a Micron Graphic Pen 1.
9
Cut a piece of twine or floss for each word.
10
Add glue to the inside of the flag on the two ends, leaving the center fold unglued. This allows you to reposition the flag once it’s on the twine.
11
Continue glueing each flag and folding it around the twine.
12
Time to add your banner to paper crafts or decor! I’m attaching mine to a birdhouse using hot glue. Trim off the extra at each end.
13
Add a tiny bow to each end for a cute, finished look.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
