Buy 2.5 inch primed MDF boards for your board and batten
1
Mark your lengths using a speed square. Our batten height was 48 inches.
2
Cut your wood at the correct lengths using a Miter Saw.
3
Start by installing the base board using 2 inch nails and a Brad Nailer.
4
Measure out your wall, and decide on the gap between the battens. We went with a 19 inch gap.
5
Fill in all the nail holes using Drydex wood spackling.
6
Next, caulk all the seams between the wood and the wall using painter’s caulking.
7
Paint your wall with a colour of your choice. We went with Argos by Sherwin Williams
