In this tutorial I will show you how I made this glittered card and envelope pair.
If you would like to make a card without glitter follow steps 1-9. Cut envelope & card pieces.
1
After the cut unload your mat and flip it over to remove cardstock carefully without bending.
2
Fold your envelope on the score lines then set it aside.
3
Fold the card on the score line and layer the pieces of the card.
4
Glue the envelope.
5
Glue the next layer onto the card.
6
*IF ADDING GLITTER STOP HERE! JUMP TO STEP 10* or continue gluing your layers.
7
Keep gluing the layers onto the card until they are all in place.
8
Want to complicate it and make it SPARKLE? Me too. Follow steps 1-6 and skip to Step 10.
9
Brush on Mod Podge with a paint brush in a smooth layer.
10
GLITTER! Pour/tap off excess. Allow to dry for 30 minutes-1 hour.
11
Collect the extra glitter. NO WASTING!
12
Brush on a thin even coat of Polycrylic to seal in your glitter.
13
A second coat of glitter onto the wet Polycrylic is optional here.
14
Tap off excess glitter and allow to dry. Skip the next step if you didn’t add a second layer.
15
Once completely dry add a final coat of Polycrylic on top if you added 2 layers of glitter.
16
Glue remaining layers together and reference step 9 to see how I glued on the love.
17
Continue gluing down the rest of your layers.
18
Fill out your card and place it into your envelope. Seal with glue stick or glue dots.
