DIY Coat Hook | Bent Wood Lamination
Soak your wood veneers in water for 48 hrs. Then add between sheets of wax paper & bend into form.

Leave clamped together for 3-4 days. Unclamp and glue layers together. Then re-clamp them.

Use additional pieces of 2x4 and 3/4” plywood to build up the mold for the coat hook.

Put down wax paper and clamp the wet veneers into place.

After drying for 3-4 days, unclamp and glue with silicone glue brush.

After letting glue cure 3 days, unclamp coat hook to start trimming.

Trim the edges of the coat hook.

Use an orbital sander to sand the edges of the hook. Sand the inside of the hook as well.

Then hand sand to finish.

Pre-drill holes for the screws and counter sink them so they sit flush to the surface of the wood.

Finish the hook with a coat of Minwax Polycrylic.

Hang your hook on the wall.
