DIY Paper Pinwheel Decoration
Fold the paper in half twice with a bone folder to get four 6 inch squares.
1
Use your metal ruler and utility knife to cut along the paper lines to create four separate squares.
2
At a diagonal line, mark three lines: center (4 1/2”), 1/4” above, 1/4” below.
3
With the utility knife and the ruler, cut to the marked lines from the top and from the bottom.
4
Repeat steps 1-4 on a different pattern of scrapbook paper.
5
Cut an x in the center of each paper.
6
Place 2 different patterned papers together. Pattern side facing out. Match up the cuts.
7
Punch a hole through both pieces of paper in each far right corner.
8
Press one end of the paper straw down then punch a hole through it.
9
Loosely fold in the punch ends of the paper then insert the paper brads into each hole.
10
Turn the pinwheel over. Push the paper brad all the way through the paper and paper straw. Secure it
11
Enjoy your custom pinwheel!
