DIY Plywood Shelves
Clamp the pine plywood to the straight edge to get nice straight cuts using the circular saw.
1
Glue the 2” wide plywood strips together in pairs. Let the glue cure for appropriate amount of time.
2
Measure off triangles that are as long as the shelf boards are wide.
3
Use sand paper to round over all the edges of triangle pieces. Use orbital sander to sand plywood.
4
Use circular saw to trim the edges of the glued up plywood and give a 45 degree angle at the corner.
5
Screw the glued up plywood to 3.5” wide plywood strips.
6
Use a center stud finder to find 2x4s behind the gypsum board. Place plywood supports every 32”.
7
Use a drill and jigsaw to cut out notches. Screw the plywood triangles to either side of plywood.

This shelving system is so adaptable, you can make shelf boards with all different widths.
