Easy-Peasy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Gather and correctly weigh all your ingredients

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together

Add the vanilla and egg then mix just to combine

Add the dry ingredients and mix to form a soft, slightly sticky dough

Fold in the chocolate chips, then cover the bowl and let the dough chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Bake at 180C/350F/Gas 4 for 10 minutes. Let cool on the tray for 15 minutes before transfering to cooling rack to cool completely
