Wash and rinse 2- 12 oz bags of cranberries. Reserve 1 1/2 cups to side. Add remaining to saucepan.

Cook over low heat for 2 mins. Add 1 1/2 cups of sugar

Add in 2 tbsp of water

Stir occasionally for about 5-7 mins, until sugar begins to dissolve.

Add in 2 -3 strips of lemon or orange. Increase heat to medium and cook until cranberries burst.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the reserved 1 1/2 cups of cranberries. Cook for another 2-3 mins

Add sugar and salt to taste and cool to room temperature before serving.
