Galaxy Background Negative Space Lettering
See more from rachelligraphy
Start by taping a rectangular box about 0.5 inch from the edge of the paper
1
Add some more tape for where you want your lettering (as you can see I changed my mind halfway)
2
Get some brush pens (Tombow 055, 173, 277, 555, 676 here) and a waterbrush ready
3
Starting with the yellow, lay down your colours from light to dark in a circular gradient
4
Blend the edges where colours meet together with your waterbrush
5
Let dry (hooray for sunny spots!)
6
Peel off the tape to reveal your negative space pattern
7
Letter your quote in the space you planned out for it
8
Add details in the smaller box like diamonds, stars, and dots to create a galaxy effect. All done!
