Glacier National Park: To See & Do In The Park- Part 2
St. Mary Lake- beautiful glacier lake with iconic Gooseneck Island. Great area for wildlife viewing.
Bears!- Glacier NP is home to both black and grizzly bears. Be prepared, carry bear spray and store food correctly.
Iceberg Lake- 9.3 mile out and back hike worth the time and distance! Go in the early months to see more icebergs floating in the lake.
Ptarmigan Lake & Tunnel- 8.6 mile out & back trail to a lake and a 200 foot tunnel. High elevation gain but amazing views!
Running Eagle Falls- 0.6 mile accessible loop to a two tiered waterfall with a legendary story to go with it.
Appistoki Falls- 1.2 mile out & back in the Two Medicine Area.
Twin Falls- 2.2 mile roundtrip hike from the Two Medicine Lake West End dock. Take the ferry across the lake.
Upper Two Medicine Lake- 9.8 mile round trip (including a stop at Twin Falls along the way). Great place to spot moose!
Sunrift Gorge- along the Going to the Sun road, this area has a pulloff to see small waterfalls and rock formations.
St. Mary Falls- 2.9 out and back trail past multiple falls. The water is unreal!
Virginia Falls- included in the St. Mary falls trail, this is one of the most impressive in the park at roughly 50 feet tall. Get up close!
