12 Hikes & Things To Do At Great Smoky Mountains NP, TN
Hike along the Appalachian Trail! Hop on at multiple starting points for as long as you want to hike. The full trail is 2,190 miles through 14 states

Hike to the top of Clingmans Dome. 1.2 mile trail along a steep paved walkway. Amazing views from the top!

The kids will love climbing and exploring on the rocks at the bottom near the parking lot and restrooms.
Drive the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. Beautiful scenery, usually takes 2 hours to drive.

Hike to Grotto Falls. A 2.6 mile roundtrip considered moderate to a beautiful waterfall.

You can even walk/stand behind the falls!
Visit Cades Cove, a section of the NP. Drive the 11 mile loop at sunrise for wildlife viewing and gorgeous scenery.

Stop at Cades Cove visitor center and historic buildings to learn more about the early settlers in the area.

Be on the lookout for Black Bears! Throughout the NP, surrounding areas & especially Cades Cove.

View The Sinks from the roadside overlook while driving through the National Park.

Hike to Laurel Falls. A 2.6 mile round trip trail that takes you right next to the falls!

Cool off, play & explore in the Little River. Pull off and find a quiet spot to enjoy nature.

Explore the Tuckaleechee Caverns in nearby Townsend. Find Silver Falls, a 210 foot underground waterfall!
