Add 1 packet of dry active yeast to 1 1/2 cup warm water

Add 1 tbs sugar and mix. Let it sit for 15 minutes to activate yeast

Add active yeast to 3 cups AP flour + 1 tsp salt

Mix until you get a nice soft dough. Add 1/4 cup flour in case it’s still very sticky

Transfer dough to a well oiled bowl and let it rest for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size

Punch down the dough and transfer to a well floured surface

Separate the dough into 6 ball of dough

Roll out the dough into long logs about 1” thickness

Form your pretzels and gently dust with flour so it doesn’t stick to the cutting board

Bring 3 cups of water + 2 tbs baking soda to a boil. Add your pretzels and boil for 2 minutes

Lightly pat them dry with a paper towel. Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Preheat your oven to 450F and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
