How To Build A Timber Sleeper Garden Bed

4 x 2400mm lengths
Treated Pine Sleepers 200 X 50mm

Feast Watson Wood shield
Tools used: Framing gun. You can replace this with screws or nails.
Miter Saw. You can replace this with a hand saw.
Snap a before picture and measure the size of the garden beds.

Measure and mark each length of sleeper.

Cut corner joins at a 45° angle.

Measure and mark the length of the back supports.

Cut back supports to length.

Lay your sleepers down with the outside facing down. Line up your back support in the inside corner.

Nail the back support to both sleepers.

For a straight join nail only half of the back support to the sleepers.

Nail the back support to the straight cut edge of the short end.

Attach short side to the back support.

Attach back support to the inside corner.

Attach back support to the short side.

Attach the short side to the corner back support.

Mark out and dig soil to level frame.

Lift your frame into place and make sure it's level.

Attach both sides together by nailing through the back support.

Protect your timber. Make sure you mix it really well first.

Paint on the timber oil.
