How To Crochet An I-Cord
An i-cord is a great item to make for a handle, rope, or strap!
1
Grab your yarn and hook and let’s go!
2
Begin by putting a slip knot on your hook,
3
Insert hook in the second chain from the hook and bring up a loop, insert hook in the next chain and bring up a loop,
5
Take the two right-most loops off of the hook. Then wrap yarn around hook and bring it through the loop still on the hook.
6
Put the loop closest to you back on the hook, then wrap yarn around hook and bring up a loop,
7
Put the last loop back on your hook. Then wrap yarn around hook and bring up a loop.
8
Repeat this process over and over,
9
Until your i-cord is as long as you need it to be!
10
When you’re ready to get it off of the hook, wrap yarn around hook and bring it through all three loops.
11
Cut the yarn leaving a tail, wrap yarn around hook and bring it through the loop, then tighten.
12
Leave the tails in tact if you need to tie them onto something, or you can weave them in too!
