How To Make A Chemo Port Pillow
Materials: 100% cotton fabric, sew-in hook-and-loop tape, & polyester stuffing.
1
Tools: Sewing clips, rotary cutter or scissors, ruler, & sewing machine.
2
Cut two pieces of fabric that measure 4” x 7”.
3
Cut two 3.5” pieces of hook and loop tape.
4
Place & clip each part of the hook and loop tape 1.5” from top & bottom edges.
5
Baste the hook and loop tape to the fabric using 1/8” allowance.
6
Place 2nd piece of fabric right side down over hook & loop tape. Clip to prepare for sewing. Use clips to mark 2” turning hole on bottom edge.
7
Use 1/2” seam allowance to sew around the whole rectangle. Remember to leave turning hole on a bottom edge.
8
Trim extra threads and cut corners to remove bulk once turned. Turn right sides out & poke out corners.
9
Stuff the pillow to medium firmness. Clip the unfinished edge to secure before sewing.
10
Use 1/8” allowance to sew the hole closed.
11
The port pillow is complete and ready to be used.
