First, cut your card in half on the crease. When You are done with this step you should have two separate halves of the card.
1
Pick which half you want to be the top and which one you want to be the bottom. The one pictured here will be the top to my box.
2
On the back of this half, we will draw an "x" from corner to corner using our ruler. Where the lines cross will be the center off the box.
3
Fold all four sides to the middle of the "x".
4
Cut down the side of the box. Stop cutting when you get to where the lines intersect.
5
Your box should look like this after it's cut.
6
Put glue on the flaps and paste them to the inside of your box. After it's glued, there will be overlap. Cut the overlapping part off.
7
Now that we are finished making the top of the box, it's time to make the bottom. Now you'll need the other half of the card.
8
Measure and cut 1/8" off of ONE short side and ONE long side only. So the bottom of the box will be smaller than the top.
9
After you finish step 8, repeat steps 3-7 as you did for the top of the box. Your box halves should look something like the ones pictured above.
