How to make A Small Giftbox From old greeting Cards First, cut your card in half on the crease. When You are done with this step you should have two separate halves of the card. Pick which half you want to be the top and which one you want to be the bottom. The one pictured here will be the top to my box. On the back of this half, we will draw an "x" from corner to corner using our ruler. Where the lines cross will be the center off the box. Fold all four sides to the middle of the "x". Cut down the side of the box. Stop cutting when you get to where the lines intersect. Your box should look like this after it's cut. Put glue on the flaps and paste them to the inside of your box. After it's glued, there will be overlap. Cut the overlapping part off. Now that we are finished making the top of the box, it's time to make the bottom. Now you'll need the other half of the card. Measure and cut 1/8" off of ONE short side and ONE long side only. So the bottom of the box will be smaller than the top. After you finish step 8, repeat steps 3-7 as you did for the top of the box. Your box halves should look something like the ones pictured above. Here's the finished box .
