Beat softened butter until creamy.

Then a mountain of powdered sugar.

Mix well on low to medium speed. Add a little milk as necessary to get the desired consistency.

Spread over cake, cookies, cookie bars and more.

As it sets it forms a nice crust helping it to hold its shape. But it stays soft and creamy underneath.
