How To Make Homemade Hamburger Buns
Mix warm water, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Stir and let it rest until it gets foamy.
Add butter, salt, egg and flour. Mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
Add milk and remaining flour. Mix on low for 1 minute.
Once all flour is combined- mix on high speed for another 2 minutes. Lightly butter your hands and form a ball of dough.
Place your bread dough in a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Doubled in size. Gently punch down 3-4 times, then form dough balls and place on a baking tray.
Gently press down and flatten the dough balls. Then cover with a towel and let them rise in a warm place for another hour until doubled in size.
Mix egg and milk then brush the egg wash over each risen bun. Then bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow them to cook slightly before eating!
