How to make Spiced (Mulled) Cider
Warm up with this classic fall beverage this month!

Gather these easy ingredients.

Sliced ginger root is optional, but highly recommended.

Toasting your whole spices releases the oils, and brings out their natural aromas.

After toasting, add the spices to a coffee filter or cheese cloth.

Tie up in a neat bundle...

...and add to the cider.

Or, if you’re like me, just toss the toasted spices in, and skim them out later.

Simmer for at least an hour before serving. If adding bourbon, add it to individual mugs at the end.
