Cute little thrift store find. Let play with paint!
1
This little box was in great shape. Inspect for damages and clean with White Lightning.
2
Add resin moulds to the top and front. These can be glued on with wood glue.
3
I made the moulds using Amazing Casting Resin. Poured into silicone baking moulds.
4
Combine two sides and mix for 30 seconds. Pour into moulds.
5
Pour resin into silicone moulds. Wait till hard. Remove and adhere.
6
Colors used for this project- Antebellum Blue & Savannah Mist.
7
Antebellum Blue & Savannah Mist, a perfect blending combination.
8
Starting at the base lay your initial coats down. Dark on the bottom to light on the top.
9
Keep separate brushes for each color used. And a misting bottle filled with water to blend.
10
Ombré the colors together.
11
When this dries you can start to accent with gilding wax in Warm Gold.
12
I taped off stripes with painters tape. Then used a brush to add gilding wax to the sides.
13
I used Gold Digger in Moonshine Metallics to accent the raised detail on the side.
14
Gilding wax highlights all the edges on the piece.
15
Beautiful ombré and details in the flowers.
16
Stage and photograph.
