How To Stem Stitch Embroidered Lettering
Come up from the back of the fabric. Anchor floss with your thumb and make one stitch forward

Come up in the middle of the last stitch and pull taught

Anchor again with your thumb and make one stitch forward

Come up where your last stitch ended and repeat
4
Repeat the stitch as needed

To finish, go back through the fabric where your last stitch ends

Stem stitch lettering. Rotating can help. Always keep the floss to the right of the needle.

Start a new stroke: come up one stitch length forward, stitch back, then come up through the middle
