Instant Pot Shepherd’s Pie
Combine ground beef and onions in Instant Pot, breaking apart beef. Use the Sauté button to cook.

Cook until beef is browned.

Drain excess grease and pour in beef broth.

Add in seasonings.

Stir in frozen veggies. Press Cancel to turn off the Sauté function.

Elevate a steamer basket over the beef mixture. Place quartered potatoes in basket. Pressure cook.

After pressure has released, transfer potatoes to a mixing bowl and remove steamer basket

Add cornstarch slurry to beef mixture.

Stir to combine, then allow it to thicken for a few minutes while you make the mashed potatoes.

Add melted butter and warm milk to the potatoes, mashing to combine.

Add shredded cheese and mash/stir to mix in the cheese.

Transfer beef mixture to a baking dish.

Top with mashed potatoes.

Broil for a few minutes until potatoes are golden.

You can also assemble in your Instant Pot and use an IP air fryer lid to brown the potatoes.
