Louisville Bourbon Trail: Kentucky Distillery Classics
Evan Williams Bourbon Experience
They offer tastings and tours. Book ahead of time because they fill up fast. Not interested in behind the scenes? Order a flight or cocktail to enjoy!
Stop at the Evan Williams store for souvenirs afterwards. I got the rocks glass and copper mule shot glass. They have sauces and spice grinders too!
Michter’s Fort Nelson Distillery
They have 3 tours ranging from $20-$100 depending on how in-depth it is. Just stopping by? Head upstairs to The Bar for a fruity or spiced drink.
Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co.
For under $10 you can receive a guided tasting of 4 bourbons and a bourbon chocolate.
The tasting guide offered us a 5th bourbon, the Irishman, and allowed us to take the glass home!
The gift shop area had a cat as with bourbon, distilleries can attract mice. I picked up some bourbon Worcestershire sauce before heading out!
Old Forester Distilling Co.
They have a downstairs bar and tours available here. I got their classic mint julep!
Other Distilleries in the Louisville area are Angel’s Envy, Rabbit Hole and Jim Beam.
