Select the magic wand tool and click on the area you want to make transparent.

Hold down shift when using the magic wand tool to expand the selection.

Make sure the entire area is selected.

Once the whole area is selected, press delete. The white and gray squares represent transparency.

Go to “select” and click “deselect” from the drop down menu to end your selection.

Zoom in and clean up the edit using the magic wand tool and deleting.
