Gather ingredients & equipment

Mix together flours and salt

Add molasses and yeast to 150mL of warm water

Add remaining water, stir, and add to flour mixture

Mix well and develop some gluten; it’ll look like oatmeal

Cover and let rest for 10 minutes

Transfer dough to 9x5 oiled and lined loaf pan. Let rise 20 min covered

Preheat an oven to 425F. Uncover loaf and bake for 20 minutes

Reduce oven temp to 400F, unmold, remove parchment, and place in oven for 20-25 more minutes

Take the loaf out of the oven and allow to cool before slicing!

Slice and serve with room temperature butter, if desired!
